Spring Cleaning

Spring is here and it’s the perfect time to get cleaning! Through the winter months, your home may have accumulated various items and may be a little more disorganized than you would like. Spring is a time of new beginnings, where the flowers bloom and the warmer weather begins. In this week’s Willington Lakes Phase 1 Blog, we’ve got a few tips for you on how you can better clean your Orangeburg, SC apartment!

Declutter

Clutter is something that plagues everyone, regardless of who they are. If you’re not vigilant, it can take over your whole home. Take the time to go through your home with a basket, room by room, and placing any unused items and clothes into the basket to be set aside. Once you’ve done that, you can decide whether you want to throw those items away, or donate them to a local charity or thrift store. Once the clutter is removed, you’ll be able to see the difference it makes. Remember to throw your loose leaf papers of old bills and letters away!

Move Furniture

When you’re cleaning, it is easy to clean the visible spots and neglect the spots that are harder to reach. In order to get the deepest clean possible, we recommend moving your furniture and cleaning the spots where they stood. You may even find some items that have been missing!

Organization System

Don’t let your spring cleaning go to waste by letting it fall into disarray once again. We recommend finding an organizational system that works for you. Having a set way of approaching the organization of your home will help you to keep things in order. Whether you wash, dry, and put away your dishes immediately or purchase boxes to put all your loose items in, having a system in place will make your life a little easier by giving you less to clean the next time.
