Ways to Give Thanks

Two people sharing a hug, one holding up a placard that says Thank you.

The season of Thanksgiving isn’t just a time to sit down with family and friends to eat turkey until you’re about to burst! It is a time to give thanks for all you have and express your gratitude to those who have made an impact on your life. In this week’s Willington Lakes Phase 1 Blog, we’ve got a few ideas of how you can express your gratitude.

Thank You Notes

If you’re looking to say thank you, you don’t have to do anything elaborate. Sometimes, a simple gesture is enough to express your gratitude to the ones who’ve helped you. You can purchase a thank you card, write a letter, or write simple phrases on a sticky note! Either way, what matters when writing thank you notes is the content. Make sure you’re sincere and genuine with what you’re trying to say, and use anecdotes and personal stories when you can!

Depending on the person who you’re wanting to thank, their language of love can be different. Some enjoy kind words, whereas others prefer gifts. Getting a gift for someone can be daunting, but if you do your research, you’ll be able to find something they like. These types of thank you gifts don’t have to be big, instead, make sure they’re personal and thoughtful. There are many who have a hard time accepting expensive gifts, so make sure these gifts aren’t too expensive.

A Personal Visit

Though thank you notes and gifts are a good way to express gratitude, nothing beats a face-to-face expression of thanks. Paying a personal visit takes the most effort, but it’s a great way to show how grateful you are. You can pay them a surprise visit or organize it with them so you can schedule some time to spend with them. When you’re there, make sure you give them all of your attention!
